cupcake girl!

After the river, Liesl put on her cupcake outfit for Uncle Brent. Then Aunt Molly wanted to take some cute pictures of her showing off our first ripe tomato!! Say SALSA!!

She wore that itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, yellow ruffled up bikini!

When Jerheme and Emiy told little Liesl she'd be visiting Aunt Molly and Uncle Brent, she grabbed her yellow bikini as fast as she could. Emily said she tried to get Liesl to wear another one, but she wouldn't have any of that!

Happy Birthday Brent!

Last Thursday was Brent's 29th birthday. I can call him "old man" for exactly one month and two days each year! We had a several small celebrations to make start off his last 20 something birthday. The night before we had a toast and ice cream after bible study. Then on his actual birthday, we had dinner at Herberts Taco Hut here in town (first time and it was amazing!!). Friday night we went dancing with friends to also celebrate their anniversary. Saturday afternoon Jerheme, Emily and Liesl came to play on the river with us. Then Saturday night Jackie, Leroy and Hope came to have dinner with us. We had lots of fun visiting with everyone and today we went to Sears to buy his birthday present!!! He got a fancy new outdoor grill! He is super excited and blessed to have so many amazing friends and family. If you didn't get to see him on his bday, no worries. We're having a big shin-dig next year for our 30th! AHH

Our Wednesday night home group. Brent, Ben, Chrissy, Lanier, and Rachel. Tequila toast!

Quick kayak trips on the Guadalupe

Liesl put her life jacket on!

But refused to ride in that boat!!

so the boys left without her

She wanted to have girl talk and eat her sucker!

Liesl, don't ever jump off a rope swing when the water is too low. Those kids are silly

Sorry aunt molly, can't smile. Have to stay hydrated.

I like this big girl chair. The water is too cold today.

Fine, I'll sit just for ONE second so you can take a picture. As long as you let me model my bikini!

Okay, one second is up, take me OUT!

farm finds

Oh, how I love all of the treasures we have from the Jacobson family farm in Nebraska. Brent says I don't like any of his belongings so I took this picture to remind him otherwise!

CLE 2011 Field Day

Here are a couple of shots from our Field Day at school. The kids had a blast going through all of the stations Coach had set up. It was really neat seeing them engaged athletically because I don't get to see much of their talent outside of the classroom and recess.

baby toes

These are baby William's toes! William's big brother, Michael, is in my class. He was bundled up and sleeping during Field Day! I couldn't pass up this shot.

dandelions

This is beautiful Isa. She is the daughter of our friends Nate and Andrea. Isn't she sweet? I took her and Bella on a flower hunt during the birthday party last week. We had lots of fun blowing dandelions!

baby toms

Had to steal one of Sada's photography poses.  Bella's pink baby shoes were too cute to pass up!

Fredericksburg Lavender

Brent and I went on a lovely Sunday drive last week. It's the beginning of lavender season along the Texas hill country wine trail. I was in love until I realized I am allergic to this beauty. I guess the next time we go I have to just look and not smell every bar of soap, lotion, bubble bath and candle made with lavender.  What was an amazing afternoon date soon ended in one of the worst allergy attacks of my life!

champ 'tails'

Funny story- I was dead set on getting Champ to ride in the kayaks with us. I had Brent convinced that we could train him by command to sit with us and not go nuts. So, this past weekend we went to give it a try. Champ was stoked! One tiny problem...he DOESN'T FIT! Somewhere in my mind I forgot the fact that he's really a tiny horse and with Brent's super long legs it wouldn't work. haha, poor Champer. We had to take him right back home while we went out for a nice trip. My dreams of taking the dog with us may not come true, but it sure was fun to try!
