Just when I wanted to be sad and jealous that I'm home alone and Brent is working on Valentine's day, I feel a tug at my heart.
Really? Me, be jealous? Of what? There is nothing I need that I don't already have. While it would be nice to snuggle up with my husband, I'm okay with him banking tonight. While I would love to sip on some wine with him, I'm okay eating leftovers alone. While I would love to share dessert with him, I already had plenty of chocolate at school. Brent already told me I was beautiful and kissed me as he walked out of the door this morning. That is all I need.
So tonight...I will go on another date. With someone else who is really jealous right now. With someone who patiently waits for me to get off of the computer, to stop lesson planning, to stop cleaning. No, not the four-legged furballs, although they do deserve some lovin' too! (Happy birthday PW!!!)
But, what a perfect evening to spend with the best Valentine of all. The one who started chasing after me the moment he created me. The one true bridegroom who has stolen my heart. The one who gave it all. My Prince, my King.
If you are sad and lonely tonight because some prince charming forgot all about valentines day, or remembered it yet didn't make today as special as you hoped; listen to this song. Or, perhaps you're sad because you still await your prince charming to show up and carry you away. Either way, we've all wanted love to come and complete us. Bottom line is that only God can do that. Tonight, let Christ be the filling. He is jealous for you and wants your love just as bad as you want to be loved. Let Him be your valentine!!! Curl up with some chocolate or conversation hearts and hear Christ whisper all of those wonderful sweet nothings to you. Get in his word and find out just how much you are loved! That's what I'm off to do! Enjoy ~ Oh how he loves us
You always amaze me!
