fun friday finds

I've been itching to decorate now that summer is here! I finally had a little bit of time today with VBS over and no tutoring on Fridays. I headed to Lowes, Hobby Lobby, and Max's Haus to see what I could find. It was a successful afternoon! Brent has been asking me to do something with our front and back door windows for quite some time now as well. So, I made some curtains that will do for now while we are cheapos. It's amazing what hem tape can do! If you ever come by, please don't look too close ;)

We still have the shade that we can pull down to block more light, but now we have cute curtains to enjoy while we are home!
handmade with the help of hem tape!

Back door face lift. I'm pretty much in love

I lined the inside with energy-saving thermal curtains. They were on sale for $6.oo but are a really dark brown color. I didn't want it showing from the outside, so I got some cute fabric and made it double sided. Hopefully it will help this side of the house stay much cooler.
I went attic shopping in Papa's garage last weekend. Check out this AWESOME water jug! Thanks Papa for the free gifts, always looking out for me :)

I shifted things on our entry way table by moving the chair over and raising the plant (really just dead sticks now) up to the book shelf.  I got a new lamp that puts off more light.  (Max's Haus find for $27. The shade is a pottery barn original that sold for $50 alone!) I just love this little nook!
