time to put on the bib...

I'm SIX months old!!!

Hey Guys!

It's been about three months since I last hopped on the computer to give you some stats!

I visited Dr. Rieger on Monday and we had a great time. I showed her how I love to jump and smile and laugh. Then she left and let another mean person come stab me with needles. I really don't get it...

Anyway, I've slowed down a bit since Mom asked me too. Well, weight wise anyway. I stopped packing on the pounds as fast because crawling and pulling up on things are so much fun! I hear you need to be a lean, mean, fighting machine to be a soccer player like dad, so I'm movin'! I weigh 21 pounds and am 27 1/2 inches long. I'm sporting my 12 month clothes pretty well and fit into some 12-18 month things. I'm putting away my old stuff to give to my super cute new TWIN BOY cousins!!! I sleep from about 7:30pm to 7:00am most nights and like to nap like Prince William throughout the day. Just about 30 minutes every two hours. I'm afraid I'll miss something cool if I sleep too long.

My current favorites are: Champ, my puppy rattle, my rubber duck, reading books, my jumper, my Leap Frog pal Scout, and playing with my car seat! I love it when mom takes me to the San Antonio Zoo and my Kindermusik class. I've met some fun new friends there. I also really love taking walks with Champer in the park when Daddy gets home. It's the best! I can crawl everywhere now. Mom doesn't have enough blankets to cover all our wooden floors, so I bonk my head a lot. It's okay, I'm a tough one. Champ often softens my falls, thank goodness! Dad lowered my crib mattress about a week ago since I like to pull up and stand. Darn, I was almost free!

The most exciting news is that I get to have solid food now! Woohoo! I like eating my oatmeal and have tried carrots and avocado. Not sure what I think about this food stuff. Sometimes I love it and other times I just want to chew on the spoon. I still think Mom and Dad's plates look more appetizing. Not sure why they aren't sharing.

Well, I gotta get going now. There are new things to discover and places to drool on.

Until next time!
Reece

Happy Birthday Bowen!

Our little buddy Bowen turned ONE! I feel like I JUST took his mamma's maternity pictures the other day! We had a blast at his party and are extremely thankful for their friendship. Can't believe Reece will be going the same thing in just six more months. Tear.

Love my Grandpa Wayne!

learnin' my ABC's

Okay, so really I'm just rolling around on a fun quilt that my mommy's student's made her one year. I love my book from Aunt Chelsie too!!

Baby Dedication

Back on August 4th, our friends and family gathered to celebrate Reece's dedication to the Lord Jesus! We could not be blessed with a better community and are so thankful to have so many stand beside our little guy to help guide him down the path of righteousness with Jesus.

Reece, this is Pastor Scott Tjernagel at Rivercity Vineyard Community Church along with your family and best buds, George and Cindy Bokorney! They all love you so very much!

Reece, you just turned five months. What are you doing?!?!?!?!

I guess I need to read my Baby's First Year book and brush up on my milestone knowledge. Or maybe this is just a tease like the tooth incident (Real funny, Reece ;). However, for the past two days Reece has been starting to get up on all fours! I witnessed it this morning when he woke up. He was just chilling looking like he wanted to take off. I did a big happy dance and was so excited and then Brent tells me that he did it several times the day before. "Um, excuse me?!?! Our SON DID WHAT?? YOU DIDN'T tell me!?!? HELLO!! I need to know these things!"

Anyway, I could be wrong, but I thought I had a couple more months until this may start happening. Good thing I like to decorate because I have lots to do in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully he'll army crawl or just keep rolling like crazy for a little while longer so I have more time to get creative! I gotta prep Champ and let him know he has to eat outside from now, on and tell PW his restroom is the great outdoors forevermore.

These pictures are from our play time this afternoon. We were having fun on the bed and Reece decided to show off. I ran as fast as I could to get the camera and didn't even worry about the settings. Thankfully the camera was in a doable mode and I got some decent shots. Not the clearest or sharpest, but who cares!!! This five month old is doing a push up!

****Btw, I am fully aware that this probably isn't that big of a deal. I'm sure lots of babies do this and I need to calm down. But I'm pretty sure I got home from the hospital with this kid like a week ago. Where is the time going?!***

Keep scrolling, these two were from the other day and are just too cute not to post.

Ready Mom?
Here I go!

That's hard stuff. Now get ready for this!
Uncle Jerh,  do I need to show your players how to do real push ups?

Cool down stretching

That was pretty cool, huh?
I'm so dang cute!
